Basically they are my favorite sounding pieces of gear, including separates. In addition, the overall sound of these two Kyoceras, is "easily next level" compared to any of them as well. In addition to just sounding better overall, the phono stages in these are enclosed in their "FCL modules" (lessens vibration and thus microphonics and distortion, see pic/description) and while I dont own any after market phono stages, these phono stages are "easily next level sounding" compared to every other "built in" phono stage I have heard in a bunch of integrateds as well as 4 TOTL receivers (Nak TA-4A, Nak Receiver 1, Yamaha Rx-950, Denon DRA-1025 RA). After clicking that "user" button, I chalk it mostly up to "anti-resonant technology". I have a ton of gear and would say I prefer the sound of my Kyocera A-910 and A-710 integrateds over everything else. I also didnt used to believe that CD transports could make a difference in sound, then I actually tested, boy was I wrong. Consider me a believer and at some point I could see myself buying some isolation platforms, anti-vibration/resonant feet, etc. While I have never owned any isolation products and used to be of the belief that they dont matter (uninformed/ignorant belief especially since I had never tried any), I changed my mind when I accidentally clicked the "user" button on the left side of this page. Huge improvements are way more important than little tweaks even though they can be fun if they are easily accomplished. Little details will come later if at all. I'm looking so far to cure truly obvious problems with audio setup. If there is an improvement in putting isolation under my other components I have yet to bother myself with this issue. Haven't worried about anything other than the turntables (three) that I run for vibration. Yeah baby-PERFECTION is always nice when you can get it! Not a peep out of the stylus when it sits in the groove and you turn the amp up past clipping. So spikes/platform/pads/concrete/pads and then sit it on a well supported shelf or stand. Without the platform there simply won't be enough room for a cable to exit the arm straight down. These replacement tonearms typically exit straight down from the bottom of the arm THROUGH the platform where I cut a hole to let the cable through. I use a Fidelity Research FR-54 with a Denon and will modify a direct drive table to handle it one of these days when new tables are shipping from Asia again. The platform also serves to raise the turntable high enough that it will enable replacement tonearms in the future. This seems to tighten up the lower registers a bit. Then removal of the feet on my turntable to replace them with spikes. Then MORE silicone pads to float the mounting platform to float like even MORE Jell-O. With silicone pads to float the concrete like Jell-O. With two 15 inch Velodyne subs with two 12 inch sealed SVS subs on top of them-I NEED total isolation to run a phonograph a couple feet away.
